The end users are anyone that has access to the studio as a user, so your external SaaS users, even if they’re in the database, are not included, only the system users of the Directus platform studio itself.
Thank you @ben for clarifying this (finally) as we’ve been trying to get this clarified for a while. As some of our clients, don’t even know or care (to be honest) which CMS we use and naturally don’t have accounts. We just try to keep things in a nice clean CMS for them. So for this (Scenario 1) we could use free (core under 25 collections) or free grant for them. (And happily share this on our blog as well, because that’s a great thing from Directus)
But these same clients eventually make a good case, for when we pitch other clients (Scenario 2) to also move to Directus and they’d be happy to move to team licenses (as their team requires access)
