# OpenStreetMap vs. Mapbox

Hello, while building my fields it looks like I cannot create one that allows geocoding an address by starting typing it, because the interface\>search field is missing. I see there is an official extension (_Address Completion Interface_ developed by Bryant) but it’s for Google whereas I want to use OSM. Is it possible that because I’m selfhosted I need to configure the OSM provider on my server? If not (i.e. if OSM is integrated with Directus), then why does it need a Mapbox key? Is it really mandatory? What is the procedure to integrate OSM and use it on Directus?
