Problem upgrading to 12.4.1

I’ve just upgraded from 12.3.1 to 12.4.1 and come across this issue.

Directus 12.4.1 migration defines:

  • directus_folders.type
  • directus_flows.folder
  • a relationship from directus_flows.folder to directus_folders.id

The migration assumes both sides use UUID database types. The new directus_flows.folder column is UUID, but this existing database was created with directus_folders.id as a fixed-length character field.

The values themselves are UUID-looking strings, for example:

But PostgreSQL distinguishes between uuid and character(36).

Therefore PostgreSQL refused to create the foreign key between them.

Just wondering if others have come across this because other instances of directus have upgraded ok for me.. just this one.

Can you confirm whether this database was migrated from another db type like sqlLite?
I am pretty sure the directus_folders.id has been UUID type for many years now.
