Hi there, we’ve just upgraded to v12 and there does not seem to be an option to “save as a copy” anymore from the drop down. I’ve searched the forum and asked AI as well as looked at the documentation but cannot find anything. Help is much appreciated.

1Hey @emilyf, welcome to the forum! I checked with the team and ‘save as a copy’ is disabled in v12 when content versioning is enabled currently as editing a published item in a versioned context gets sticky. To get a better understanding of what else would be needed here, are you looking to save a copy as an alternative version or similar in a way where versioning doesn’t cover it? Thanks
It was nice prior to v12 where we had both of these options. Revisioning is important in terms of accountability and in case we need to revert content back to a previous version, however, we use "Save as a copy" for pretty much everything. We use Directus primarily as our content archive for extensive video content, such as sports games and city council meetings, so much of our metadata is similar across thousands of episodes (especially things like categories, subcategories, tags, what systems we want to sync it to in order to give us the same base metadata.
