Hello,
UUIDv7 is now supported in the recently released PostgreSQL 18. Is there any way to use it for IDs?

7+1 this is an important feature for us!
Directus-generated UUIDs use UUIDv4 by default, which is currently not configurable. I’ve jotted down your comment as a feature request on our end so we can track this for a potential future improvement. Thanks!
Hi guys,
Any update on this? Need uuid7 for indexing. Thanks
Hi is this updated for Directus v12? Thanks.
Hey all, v12 is not updated to UUIDv7, we have this as a potential future improvement in our backlog however I don’t have a committed timeline for this happening I can share currently I’m afraid.
I suppose it should also be visible on the roadmap (roadmap.directus.com). I can see the item when I search it, but I can’t open it. Anyone know why that is?
This should be the roadmap item for uuidv7 support: Directus feature requests | Productlane
Thanks Beth! I have upvoted it
